My passion for writing started as a small child, when I - each week - would carry a stack of books to and from the library, my safe space. Since then, I’ve retained a talent for - and interest in - writing.

In 2016, I co-wrote and edited the memoir of Sister Kate, founder of the Sisters of the Valley, a new-age order of CBD-growing nuns who have been featured in Forbes, ABC News, CNN and in the documentary series Breaking Habits, among others. Using Kate’s voice, I turned a messy manuscript of 150 pages into a 300+ pages published book.

Writing depends on the purpose and the audience. I’ve written magazine articles, academic texts, novels, newsletters, campaign copy and press releases. While I believe AI will greatly revolutionize writing - I myself am an avid user of the AI tool Claude for any type of writing that I do now - I don’t believe they will make writers defunct. Simply put, the key to creating an interesting text is ingenuity - the text has to convey a message that presents something new and thought provoking, and this is my guiding star when writing, no matter the type of text.

You can see examples of some of my professional and personal projects below.

The Accidental Nun, sister kate’s autobiography

Co-writing The Accidental Nun is by far the most ambitious and difficult writing project I’ve done. I had to compile all the chapters that had been written, outline their contents, figure out where there were significant gaps or opportunities to better orient the reader, and then interview Sister Kate to get the information I needed to finish the writing process. The whole project took about 1 year and in the end we got very positive reviews and have also recieved interest for a movie adaptation.

addnature & INVAJO

As part of the copywriting work at Addnature magazine Hooked, I regularly wrote journalistic pieces for their outdoor magazine Hooked. I most commonly got to interview a prominent outdoor profile, and then write a piece on their project or activity. Below is one article where I researched the history of outdoor climbing in Sweden. The outdoor magazine was one of the store’s most praised and appreciated features, dating back from the brand’s rogue days as a major influence in Swedish outdoor competitions and organizations.

I also wrote several pieces for event management company Invajo as part of a collaboration and a larger ad campaign they ran during 2023. I’m including one text that I wrote in the role of marketing manager at Invajo.

personal writing

I’ve also written a number of pop culture and opinion pieces over the years; some of which I’ve published under my Medium handle Sister Rosa, and two which have been published in Swedish news magazines (Dagens Nyheter and Parabol Press). Below is a snippet from a piece I published on Medium back in 2016.
